Smurftastic ....Smurflicious

Yes...Smurftastic and Smurflicious are the two new cool words I learned today....I have been learning a lot of hard lessons lately at work...extremely hard ones...As a software programmer I have one thing in surplus quantity in my applications..."Hidden Bugs" :) Not sure how they manage to exist under the circumstances of three levels of extensive software testing...Always a mystery!.

So as I said the two new words made my day...

Work pressure was so intense for the past few months,,,...I didnt realize that my blog was untouched for the past 6 months...horrible... isn't it..?? Well today something Cool happened...and I had this incredible feeling that there is something or someone waiting to read my blogs...hmm...Ok.

I have been trying out many cool stuff lately...As for bead-works I made a lot of artworks for my friends...Its a hobby and its a time pass...also my trials in cooking...I have this feeling that one day I will be cooking in my own bar...with vegetables from my farm....

When I wanted to try something different in dessert I was thinking about the Italian masterpiece Tiramisu...I ate from my local restaurant one time and was always thriving to eat more of it...But one piece costed me 4 dollars and made it pretty hard to digest every time I ate it...So Tiramisu it is....

The best homely recipe I found for Tiramisu was this :

The one which I made was this as it was more technically perfect :

My tiramisu came out quite well...All though the sweetness was a bit more than I wanted It was incredibly yummy...

I am happy that I Could restart my blog today...Its a nice feeling...
have a great night....
Thanks for reading....

A thanksgiving gift for Gwen..Beads and gems!

Gwen is a very sweet girl with the perfect smile and prefect skin... She is my manager's daughter. She is a pretty little princess and above all she loves pink. She lives in a beautiful 121 Acre ranch 10 miles away from my home. Her parents invited me for Halloween party and I had a great time with her.She loved my beaded top and I promised her that I will make one for her and tried my first gift to an american cutie pie...

I chose a bright pink shirt to start with. I chose simple cotton shirt...You can choose cotton or linen or jute or polyster or silk top. Saggy type texture may make the stitching tough for beginners. This will make the beads hang from the dress and it will look totally odd..Also if you accidently tighten a stitch it will be tough to untie it...It might end up as holes in the dress....You can choose any texture but make sure that you will be comfortable with what you are working on.....

I chose beads with care..I got a set of beads from Walmart for 9.99$ . It contained Golden, shiny Black and Off-white pearls. There were plenty of pearls in that set and I could use it for many other tops.....I selected silver thread for this shirt because silver goes well with bright pink background...In the art and craft section I found gem buttons which was exactly what I was looking for. They shined like bright pink gems...I bought a shiny glass bead necklace and broke it and used the beads to mix along with the pearls...and thus I got the beads that I am looking for......

Next you need a pattern...try simple flowers ...with wide petals to start with...small figures with smaller curves may be tough for beginners...Choose a Mehandi Pattern (Colored drawings made in the hands of Indian brides)  or a tattoo pattern from internet. The simpler the better....First , Draw the pattern on the dress using a pen or a pencil. For tops of  lighter shades you can use a pencil and for dark shaded tops use a lighter color pencil...like yellow or white...be sure to complete the sketch before you start drawing...Chalk is not a good option as the drawing might fade away while you continue your stitching....

Last but not he least stitching....Stitching is very easy...Also I am guessing that anyone who read this post knows the basics of stitching...At least a button fixing......You are great guys....I know... :) ...Also, Always make sure that the beads are properly fastened in the dress...and choose a style of stitch from internet... Any type of stitch can be tried but make sure that its easy for you....Running stitch, Cross stitch ...you name it... :) Slowly stitch along the pattern that you have drawn...Place beads at proper places according to your wish...Its better to end a stitch with a bead or a cluster of beads for a  flowery look....But then also the whole design is totally up to you...You name it...you make it...and make it your own with your unique taste and style.... :)

Also make sure that you change the bead color based on the color of top you choose...:)

Gwen loved it and she gave a cry of excitement when she saw it. I love that family because they are so simple and very comfortable to talk to...I enjoyed each time when I visited them. Each time when I go to their house Gwen's grandmother shares with me wonderful stories from Gwen's childhood.

I was so happy that day after seeing her wonderful smile...Its always a pleasure to put a smile on a cutie's face.
